Brugge

For the last 3 days we have been in Brrrrugge, Belgium. Do you know that Brugge is the world's capital of chocolate. It even has its own chocolate museum where they let you taste the chocolates they make. There is also a light museum that tells you all the history of lamps and lights going back maybe 5 million years ago (or more!!) In Brugge there is a chip museum that tells you the history of chips but we didn't go because we used our chip money on chips instead. Chips are very good in Brugge.
We went on a boat ride along the canals of Brugge. It was very good because I got to see the sights including a castle, a tall clock tower, a very large church and lots of tiny little brick (Granma, you should go to Brugge some day).

  1. Dear Oscar,
We loved reading about your happy stay in Brugge. We can imagine you all on the boat trip along the canal - even if it was a little showery! I can remember buying lace dressing table mats and tray cloths in the lace boutiques and I still have them here at home.
We can imagine how much you would all love the chocolate shops but I suppose the chocolate was really expensive. Just as well you could buy some chips to eat. I hope that these were not too dear.
It must have been fun staying together in a small hotel. Ed told us that you had a wonderful swimming pool in Paris and you all had a fabulous time swimming. Was the weather really warm in Paris?
Grandpapa and I enjoy your descriptive writing and we think what fun it would be to be there with you all. Thanks for your blogs, Oscar.
    Love from Granma and Grandpapa
