Once upon a time there was a small boy called Oscar who visited London. His first peril was the London Eye and when he saw it he was concerned that it might topple over into the River Thames when he was in it. But facing his fears he stepped into the cocoon capsule and went up, up, up and saw all over London and realised it wasn't as scary as he first thought. Apparently, some people love the Eye so much, they have their birthday party on it.
Next he went on a river boat cruise down the Thames. One of the bridges the boat went under was made by ladies when the men were away in the 2nd World War. The stop they got off at was the Tower of London. Inside the Tower they saw loads and loads of crowns worn by the Kings and Queens of England over hundreds of years. Amongst them was a ridicously small crown that had belonged to Queen Victoria who was rather large. Oscar learned that the Tower used to host wild beasts such as a leopard that ate an umbrella because it was so cross at being caged. He also learned that there was a bear there that had died from being fed too much sweat stuff.
Oscar went several times to a museum called 'the Natural History Museum'. He was impressed with the quality of the exhibitions such as the 'mammals one' which had lots of stuffed animals such as a blue whale, dugong, elephant, rhino, hippo, giraffe etc etc.
Unfortunately Oscar's parents forced him to blog and blog which made him thoroughly angry!
